our low-car diet
The wonderful guys at the Portland Tribune wrote up the low-car diet we're doing (officially starting tomorrow!). It's not the first time I've been in the paper but it's definitely the cutest article. Best of all -- the huge photo by the excellent David Plechl, who was nice enough to keep the trash in our yard out of the picture. While the photo shoot was totally staged, this moment was spontaneous and I was really biking to a meeting!
So far the low-car diet has been great, but it's taken a lot of patience. I've had a few very low points with Everett while waiting for the bus. Truman also likes to squirm out of his carrier while we're riding and maul the other passengers (with a huge grin on his face, naturally). But the biking part is great, I'm totally a fan of this lifestyle change. Now as long as I don't get pregnant again...

Way to go! Yesterday, I heard you being interviewed on NPR. :)

HELP! My 9 month old doesn't want to sleep anymore! I am so tired. It's 11:32 pm and she has been asleep for 12 minutes. She cried for so long tonight because she didn't want to sleep, it broke my heart. I don't know what to do. She didn't even want to nurse! We have been co-sleeping since she was born and snuggling didn't even help, I don't know what to do.
